JAIL TAILS BBCTHREE (MAVERICK SABRE)
Here at B Somebody we are all about positivity! And today i managed to take the time to check out BBCTHREE’s site, to see how Jamal of SBTV was doing in his new found career on the show Jail Tail’s.
I was impressed to see how the show was working. Targeting and promoting on a large scale audience to live a safe and better life, not ending up or going back to jail. Working with UK artists who many watch every day like ourselves, share their lyricism to get the message across.
The show is becoming more in depth after grabbing everyone’s attention with the likes of Lioness, Ghetts, Bashy, Fem Fel & Duurty Goodz Jail Tail freestyles. Turning into a series of short films.
I managed to watch the latest one with Actor/MC Ashley Walters AKA ‘Asher D’. An inspiring interview to his thoughts, motivation, support & advice.
Ashley goes back to Feltham prison with SBTV to talk about his time once there. One thing is it never stopped him as a person pursuing his dreams, to change his lifestyle and to work hard to get to the position he is today. Ashley is a great example for many people out there not to re-offend or more importantly no to commit an offence in the first place, but to take the opportunity to have your freedom and make something of your life.
Another interview i got to watch was about the Firefighters Boxing club. Jail Tails, looking further than just a sport, learnt & exposed that Boxing teaches you; Discipline Respect and courage. This is something the club focuses on, that has caught on in the local area. Many of the youths exposed to crime go there, to get away from the temptation and to release their stress. Amir Khan who appears in this sketch, is a good example of someone that this has rubbed off on.
On browsing the website there are also many of what SBTV does best, Freestyles. But these freestyles have strong messages behind them so make sure you listen as well as ‘watch’, and share these videos around to spread a positive message.
All in all i must congratulate Jail Tails for recognising a bad situation and doing something to make it better. Keep up the great work.
The Video above is inspired by Jail Tails and is called ‘Behind These Walls’ from Urban Indie artist Maverick Sabre. I’m a big fan of his Music, so unique and talented. This really took my breath away.
Make sure you also check out the Jail Tail Website here.
