Akala, Sway, Lowkey & Black The Ripper – Yours & My Children Live Performance
This was footage from last nights Dead Prez concert at London Forum, where Akala was in support, and he did a special version of his next single Yours & My Children, from Akala’s excellent album Double Think. Akala brought out Sway, Lowkey and Black The Ripper to do guest verses, which will feature on the release. That’s an almighty line up of UK talent there!
Charlie Sloth & Black The Ripper – Where Did It Go? Prod.DJ Gone
Heavyweight collab on this one, the man of the moment Charlie Sloth teams up with Black Magik’s Black The Ripper.
Production is quality, proper mellow yet aspiring beat produced by DJ Gone, in fact the track is taken from Gone’s up coming compilation Album, and i can’t wait to get my hands on it, if this is what we are in store for!
The video has had thousands of views within 2 days, directed and edited by Charlie himself! Some signed artists can’t even manage those amount of hits, which just shows that some of the best talent are not signed…which is exactly what this track is about…Where did the ‘real’ music go?
Make sure you go support this and cop it of iTunes NOW!
Lowkey featuring Akala & Black The Ripper – I Still Believe
Three of the best UK rappers team up together on this heavyweight line up, on this aspirational record – the original of which is from Soundtrack to the Struggle. Akala recently dropped a brilliant album a few weeks back called Doublethink, which is well worth checking out, especially for his profoundly meaningful track called Find No Enemy. And before that, Black The Ripper released a stellar mixtape titled Edmonton Dream, which was seriously blazin hip hop, packed with 60 full on tracks! As well as winning the best F64 popular vote. All these credentials make this collaboration with Lowkey (an ultimate ambassador for conscious hip hop with depth), all extra special.
Taken from the Hunger Pains mixtape which sees Skandal get political and tackle media hysteria which is definitely portrayed through this video, directed by Global Faction.
Skandal is tipped to be the one to blow this year so keep your eyes peeled on his movement! Nik Squared
13 ft Black The Ripper – Don’t Stop Getting That (Directed by Quason Matthews)
DON’T STOP GETTING THAT MONEY! One thing that sits in everyones mind, cos if you don’t…well how you going to be able to live?
13 has made an amazing appearance into the scene being a natural talent. At the age of 12 he invested in the production software known as ‘Cubase’. He began composing beats, writing melodies and at the age of 13 he was ready for the entertainment business, hence the name. To label him a singer/rapper/producer would be wrong, but to be titled as simply an ‘artist’.
He has since co-wrote & co-produced tracks for the likes of; Marques Houston, Lisa Maffia, Cassius Henry, Chipmunk and many more.
This track booms all his skills, and with a heavyweight artist, Black The Ripper.
If you haven’t already heard of Samson yet…THEN WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?! He’s everywhere at the moment, 1 person that is definitely about making that money. An example showing everyone that if you work hard enough put in the time and use your talent for the correct purposes, you can achieve magical goals, and surprise yourself.
He is a man blowing up, with the loyal support of his fans, not changing for labels, but cementing himself firmly as one of the UK’s most diverse and real lyricists!
