No Hats, No Trainers begins on BBC2, September 4th. They begin with their 1st Cypher, featuring Mayhem (SAS), Mystro, Mega (SAS) and Wretch 32, going in hard over Kanye West’s ‘Power’ instrumental.
You can see the grime artists in the background; Random Impulse, Mz.Bratt, Dream Mclean, Griminal & Dot Rotten…Cypher 2 is round the corner.
So Solid Crew member, Swiss is back with a big video. Everyone who follows and supports the UK Urban music scene will remember him for his deep emotional track ‘Cry’.
Been a little dormant but he’s really made an impression with his new track ‘The Streetz’.
Huge collaboration with Wretch 32, and recently blogged Selah. She’s been in two big videos in the same week.
The ingredients for this track are on point, real bars, catchy soulful hook by Selah, and the icing on the cake for us is the video.
Hood video’s are developing. Simple location fantastic effects.
Independent artists and organisitions are really pulling out all their talent and creativity these days, and it’s great to see the progress.
We attended the Industry Take Over seminar at the weekend. If your trying to advance in the music industry, then you should of really been there.
Many lectures were held regarding how the UK music scene is blowing up, how to be involved and also an understanding of how the industry works.
Speakers on the panel were Ras Kwame, Terror Danjah, Hattie Collins, Posty (Grime Daily), Twin B and many more.
One thing we picked up on, is there is so many ways people can be involved within the music industry; Journalism, artist, producer, DJ, Promoter, Manager, the list is endless…but without these professions the UK music scene wouldn’t be the strength it is now.
We were blessed at the end of a long day to be able to see some of the best UK acts perform live, and it was at this point seeing the artists we have loved and followed for years turning their hard work and dreams to reality; Ghetts, Mz.Bratt, Griminal, Ny, Wretch 32, Princess Nyah, Master Shortie, Tribal Man and Roxanne.
This video is a definite need to watch, the 1st live version of Ghetts ‘Destruction of the Eiffel Tower’.
You may remember Doom Man from our Tomorrow Never Comes video with Sam Khan and Aaron Norton. Good to see him doing different things in the industry…watch out for Doom Man!
He also told us that he will be re releasing What Does It Say About You in Europe so make sure you go support him. The track is a banger and the guy’s a straight up hustler.
PASS IT OVER – Sincere ft. Ghetts, Scorcher, G FrSH, Wretch 32 & Little dee
Has Sincere just taken the concept of ‘England’s 10 – She Likes To’ and just pumped steroids into it? We think so!
Absolute quality production by KidBass, him and Sincere are proving to be a perfect team. He’s come a long way, but we still pull back his classics like ‘Once Upon a Time’ and ‘That’s Not Gangster’.
Frsh entertainment doing it BIG with the video production and GFrsh – definitely has the potential to go mainstream. Guy’s killing it in all areas music, videos and dun know GFrsh has even got a degree in Economics!
We were happy to see Little Dee jumping on this track, hopefully it won’t be ‘Once in a Blue’ moon. Make sure you cop that album.
